Pretend Lovers are committed to making films which support and celebrate the uncelebrated; local makers, artisans and the humbly talented folk of Scotland and beyond. More than just make films, we tell stories which start conversations.
Many of our projects are collaborations with other creatives. In 2016-18 we were proud to co-host SHORTS, a film festival within the incredible GDFS programme; with a curated selection of films from over 2300 submissions and 96 countries.
While we develop scripts for independent narratives and specialise in documentary, we also create short films for brands, people and places. Alongside our film work, we have a portfolio of photography, creative writing and brand content.
